Very recently, as in last Saturday, I got an iPhone. Yeah, I know you probably think I'm a spoiled brat now, and maybe you're right. However, it really has opened my eyes to how superficial society is becoming. Since I've gotten the iPhone, I've been noticed, and even talked to by the "popular people". I put them in brackets because I don't understand what makes them so "popular". I just don't get it.

Either way, I've even noticed a change in myself. I'm confident, truly more so than I was before. And that bothers me. Does having a new, more "socially acceptable" mobile device really control how comfortable I am in society? The last thing I want is to become a superficial, stuck up bitch like them. It would drive me crazy.

Not to mention I just wrote this whole post on my phone. Damnit.

(What I wish I could be. Someday maybe.; picture from devianart.)

I've found myself lost in an addiction to classic 1930's music. The Ink Spots have recently found a way into my heart (thanks to Fallout 3). I just love the sheer talent they posses. No auto-tuning, just pure talent.

Take a listen, I'm fairly positive you'll fall in love with it as easilly as I did.

So, The Hunger Games came out yesterday (weeeo!) and I happen to be attending tonight with Jenna. She first showed me the books a while ago and I found they satisfied my... blood lust (I have a thing for violence, even though I'm not a very violent person..sometimes). However, I think I'm most excited for Peeta (Josh is super cute).
I've been brainstorming things to wear for the movie tonight too. I want to dress up as a character (more or less), like people do for Harry Potter, etc., but there's really nothing special to go as.
Unless I wear black and set myself on fire.

Which is ironic, because The Ink Spots song I linked is called I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire. <3

It's been a hell of a long time, hasn't it?
I've nearly forgotten how much I've missed Piczo. Being able to get my thoughts out there in over 140 characters is really nice. I've started a Twitter account recently, and I'm having a hard time understanding why I even bothered.
If you really want to follow me, @JensineEmeline
Otherwise, I'll be checking my Piczo more and more often, just for you.

2012!
I've named it the year of movies. The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-man, The Hunger Games and The Hobbit. I garuntee I'll be broke by December, unless you cound having only $50 broke, then I'm broke now.
Regardless, I'm very excited.
I recently watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the first time. (yes, I know, it's sad.) But I love them, adore them even. While most girls nowadays have crushes on big name actors (Beibs, Lautner, the works), I have a relatively large crush on Pippin.
Also, I had big plans for today. Cleaning, crafting, cleaning. And then my friend gave me The Fellowship of the Ring to read.
And I've done nothing else but do that today.

So here's to 2012!

i attempted to write the other day, but i ended up hitting backspace and it deleted everything i wrote. i was sad.

as for today, i went shopping with my dearest Jenna. back to school shopping if you must. it's hard hearing someone say "want to come over after school tomorrow?" because that means i have to go to school tomorrow. now, don't get me wrong. i'm one of the few that actually like school, so deep down i'm happy about it. what saddens me is the "end of summer". even seeing the Hallmark Christmas ornaments come out saddens me.

over my desk i have 3 words written on a small piece of paper.
"You Are Loved."
I find a lot of comfort in that, even though i'm the one who wrote it. Lots of people, especially teenagers, are always saying how they're not loved, it's them against the works, etc. They say they can't do anything right, or make anyone happy & that no one loves them. Bullshit. If i have bad dreams, I lie in bed and close my eyes. I think of all the people that love me. Mostly family, but you only list the friends you hold close to you. You might not realize it, but a lot more people love you than you think. That's something every person should know. You are loved.

very recently, the leader of the NDP of Canada passed away. Jack Layton passed away on August 22, 2011. My mother, as well as hundreds of thousands of Canadians were, and continue to be, supportive of Jack's initiative and ideas towards making Canada about the people, not about corporations. I'm not old enough to vote legally and I get treated like I know nothing about the government, but like those tv commercials say, even children know it's wrong. The people that but Steven Harper in power were in power themselves. whatever benefits their business, benefits them. stupid.

anyways, i have plans to go to Mr. Poppers Penguins with my cousins and my best friend this afternoon. My aunt, who is taking us, loved it and feels the need to take us. I'm excited to see it actually. Jim Carrey is hilarious.
however, i'm not one for non-animated kids movies. i like animated kids movies, and "real people" action movies. i'm so excited to see Captain America, it's ridiculous!

school in less than a week. /:
